First of all, Kroger is getting sneaky!!! I had no children and was concentrating on getting the best deals!! So, no distractions!
The tags for the buy 10 items and get $5 off are VERY similar to the cancer sale items. I got good deals but I was keeping track of the number of items for things that weren’t in the sale! Bummer!! Anyway, just be aware and look VERY closely at the tags!

Second, I had a wonderful cashier!! For some reason my P&G loadable coupon for -$3.00/1 Fabreeze Noticeable candle starter kit didn’t come off. I showed her my print off and she took it off and still took my man. Q. I was surprised by that!! Most days I feel pretty good when they just don’t roll their eyes at me.

We had my husband’s 40th birthday on Oct. 2nd
I went to work at 4pm on the 3rd.
Got off work at 6am on the 4th and caught a plane to Vegas Baby!!!!!

You will be surprised by some of the deals that I did find in Vegas……………

First….on Southwest, you can buy a drink voucher pre boarding the plane that is buy 3 get 1 free. Not bad since plane drinks are $5. You can use these any time (even on the way back) and can trade them for a seat on the plane. There is no assigned seating on Southwest, so this may come in handy!!!

Second……There were a lot of coupons given to us at check-in that were VERY valuable. Lots of BOGO and lots of buy a show and get a free meal. A good meal, not McDonalds’!!
Third……the gift stores do have clearance racks!! I found some really good deals there too!!

If you go to Vegas……keep your eyes open for the deals!!!! They are there!!!!

We got home from Vegas late Oct.7th. Then I ran around with my mother and sister-in-law trying to finish up stuff for my other brothers wedding. Sat. Rehersal….Sun……..the wedding!!! It was awesome!! Very fun!! I had my sister –in-law pick up my papers this week, so I’m just now getting to them.
Hopefully, I’ll have some good deals to post this week!!

-First of all………………………………………………..have a goal!
If you just get every good deal, you will end up spending more than you normally do getting stuff you normally would not. My goal is to spend no more than $25 a month at CVS/Walgreens. I also always plan to save more than I spend at the grocery. My budget is $400 a month. I do this very easily and have things stored up and this is about half of what we spent before.

-Second……………………………………………………every store has different rules about couponing.
To be successful, you have to know the rules of the store you are shopping at!

-Third……………………………………………………….This does take a lot of time and effort to do well. Be prepared!!

-Forth………………………………………………………….I get 5 Sunday newspapers a week for the coupons. The going thought is that you should get as many as you have people in your family. That seems to work well for us. I also print a lot of internet coupons from different sights.

I don't have a picture, but I Spent $36.69 and saved.........$44.48.
That was 27 items with one of them being a 20 pack Charmin on sale for $9.99.
Of course I had q's but that was a pricey part of my spending.

I also got 5 half gallons of Turkey Hill Ice Cream on sale $1.77 and I had 5 -1.00/1 q's.
$.77 is Pretty cheap for ice cream!!

I e-mailed Hip2Save about the odd way I got free dog food at Target yesterday. She said that it's just Targets registers. So, you may not need to have the Target Q's to get the free food. I will take mine just in case they decide to fix the problem. Either way its free dog food and I like that!!!!
I did order 30 Q's of the $3 off and the BOGO. I spent $12 on those, but I would normally spend more than that on a bag of dog food anyway. So, now I'll just get a whole lot of it for $12. Not to shabby!!
